Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This policy explains what data we collect when you visit pixelstudio.uy, what we use it for, and what you can do about it. It is written to be understood, not to cover ourselves.

1. Who is responsible

PixelStudio, a web development studio based in Montevideo, Uruguay.

For any question about your data, write to us at hola@pixelstudio.uy.

2. What data we collect

There are two cases, and they work very differently.

  • What you give us. If you use the contact form, you fill in your name, your company or project, the plan you are interested in, and a message. It matters that you know how this works: the form does NOT send anything to any server of ours, and stores nothing in any database. All it does is compose a WhatsApp message with what you wrote, which opens on your phone and which you send yourself if you want to. Until you send it, that data never left your device.
  • What is collected automatically. As you browse, third-party tools record usage data: pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate country, where you came from (an Instagram link or an ad, for example), and which buttons you tapped, including the WhatsApp one.

3. What we use it for

We do not sell your data, we do not hand it to third parties for commercial purposes, and we do not build profiles to resell.

  • Answering your enquiry and quoting you, if you wrote to us.
  • Understanding which parts of the site work and which do not, so we can improve it.
  • Measuring whether our advertising and social media bring genuinely interested people, and stopping spend on what does not work.

4. Who we share it with

We share data with no one by commercial choice, but the site uses third-party services that, by their own nature, process usage data:

  • Google (Google Analytics 4): visit statistics. Google acts as a provider under its own policies.
  • Meta (Meta Pixel): measuring how effective our ads on Facebook and Instagram are. It allows, for instance, showing an ad to someone who already visited the site.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): if you write to us there, the conversation is governed by WhatsApp terms.
  • Hosting provider: hosts the site and logs server access, as any web server does.

5. Transfers outside Uruguay

The services above belong to foreign companies and process information on servers outside the country. By using the site, that browsing data is transferred and handled under each provider’s privacy policy.

6. Cookies and how to turn them off

Analytics and advertising tools use cookies and identifiers to recognise the same browser across visits. We do not use cookies to store personal data you have given us.

You can block them without losing any site feature: content, prices and WhatsApp contact all work the same. Your options:

  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies.
  • Use a tracker-blocking extension, which stops these tools entirely.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Adjust your ad preferences from your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

7. How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained for the period defined by the tools that process it, and is used in aggregate.

If you wrote to us on WhatsApp or by email, we keep that conversation while a commercial relationship or an open enquiry exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

8. Your rights

Uruguayan Law No. 18,331 on Personal Data Protection and Habeas Data, together with its implementing decree 414/009, grants you the right to access your data, rectify it, update it and request its deletion.

To exercise those rights, write to us at hola@pixelstudio.uy. We reply within the periods set by law and charge nothing for it.

If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you may complain to the Personal Data Regulatory and Control Unit (URCDP), the supervisory authority in Uruguay.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change the tools we use or how we handle data, we update this page and the date in the header. We do not send notices by email: the version in force is always the one you are reading.
